2024 Fantasy Football Preview: Top Wide Receivers

After last week's articles where I went over the top Quarterbacks and Running backs for your 2024 fantasy team, this week it's time to look at the pass-catchers. Up first is arguably the most important position of wide receiver, here is who I think will be the top performers this upcoming season.

1.CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys - The former 1st round pick out of Oklahoma had a career year in fantasy and regular statistics in 2023 for America's team. Lamb broke the Cowboys single-season reception record, en route to a top fantasy season. He put up the most points by a WR and is the consensus #1 receiver off the board this season. He is currently holding out for a new contract, but that should be resolved before week 1 of the regular season.

2. Justin Jefferson, Vikings - In 2022, JJetts put up one of the greatest WR seasons of all time. Injuries kept him out of seven games last season, leading to a disappointing campaign for who was the #1 #1 pick in most drafts. Maybe this will be the lowest his stock will be for years, and even with a rookie QB, Jefferson is still the best WR in the NFL. There should be absolutely no reason he is left on the board post-round 2 this year.

3. Ja’Maar Chase, Bengals - Like his LSU counterpart, Chase had a down year in fantasy last season, playing without Joe Burrow for almost half the season. But like Jefferson, Chase has been one of the best WRs in the NFL since his rookie season in 2021. With a fully healthy squad around him, Chase is primed for a top WR fantasy season in 24.

4. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins - The speedster from the greatest show on turf has been a top 5 fantasy receiver the last four seasons, and even at age 30, Hill shows no signs of slowing down. He led the NFL in yards (1800) and TDs (13) last season and was on pace to break the single-season yards record. The only concern with Hill is minor regression after so many monster campaigns, but he will still be a top 5 WR this year.

5. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions - Detroit was one of the best stories in football last season, coming inches away from their first-ever Super Bowl appearance. Much of that success had to do with USC wideout Amon-Ra St.Brown. Brown finished 3rd in fantasy points among WRs, along with his first 10 TD season. If he can become a consistent red zone threat for Goff, he is a sneaky contender for the top WR at the end of the year.

Those are my top 5 WRs for this upcoming fantasy season, probably the easiest/chalkiest list of all position groups. All of these guys mentioned have incredible fantasy track records and are in line to once again have record-breaking seasons. Some names that just missed out are Jets rising star Garrett Wilson, 2023’s Rookie sensation Puka Nacua, and the top WR in this past year's draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. Stay tuned for the top TEs in this year's season, which will be published later this week.
