2024 NFL Record Predictions: NFC East & NFC North

Following last week's articles discussing my predictions for all AFC divisions, it is now time for the NFC. On paper, the NFC is not as top-heavy as their counterparts, but the NFL season is always full of surprises.

NFC East:

  1. Eagles (11-6) - The NFC East hasn’t seen a repeat division winner in around two decades, and i believe that trend continues. The Cowboys have a lot of question marks regarding their three star players Micah Parsons, Dak Prescott & Ceedee Lamb. The Eagles had the best record in the NFL through 12 weeks but fell off a cliff. With a new OC and a healthy Hurts, the Eagles should be back to Super Bowl contenders.

  2. Cowboys (10-7) - With a Lamb holdout, regression for Dak, and no true RB1 behind a worse offensive line, this could be the last season of Mike McCarthy in Dallas. Look for Bill Bellicheck to become the HC of this squad next season, and playoffs could be a stretch this season for Dallas.

  3. Commanders (5-12) - Rookie QB Jaden Daniels has the weapons to succeed, and new OC Kliff Kingsbury is used to working with duel-threat QBS, which i think will lead to the LSU Heisman winner's success. While a winning record might be years away for Washington, they are sure to be a fun watch this season.

  4. Giants (3-14) - Man this could get ugly quickly for big blue. Daniel Jones is clearly not the option at QB, but Malik Nabers should be a real contender for ROY. The defensive line saw improvement this offseason, but with Jones behind center, the cap for this team is no more than a handful of wins.

NFC North:

  1. Lions (12-5) - Detroit was one half away from appearing in their first-ever Super Bowl, but collapsed mightly in San Francisco. This season they only got better, and with another year of Laporta, Gibbs, & St.Brown, the offense has an immense amount of firepower. I expect them to take another step further and potentially reach the Super Bowl.

  2. Bears (10-7) - I am all in on the Caleb Williams hype train, and Chicago's record should mightly improve because of him. I think the Williams conversation has shifted so far off the football field, many have forgotten why he was a Heisman winner and the undisputed #1 pick. With new additions of Keenan Allen and Deandre Swift, I believe the Bears will reach the playoffs in Caleb's first season.

  3. Packers (10-7) - Jordan Love is now tied for the highest-paid QB per season at $55 million a year, and the large contract came after just one full season starting. They surprised everyone by making the divisional round last year, and somewhat of a regression is imminent. With no true WR1, Green Bay will have to sweep Chicago and split with the Lions in order to make the playoffs, which will be a large task.

  4. Vikings (3-14) - JJ Mccarthy's injury does not play a huge part in my prediction for the Vikings. With Sam Darnold as QB1, Minnesota already seems to be looking towards next season. Justin Jefferson should still have a monster season, but besides that, the Vikings should be “an easy win” for most teams that come up on their schedule.

Stay tuned for the preview of the NFC South & NFC West, along with my seven playoff seeds for both conferences.
