Alice Cullen from “Twilight”?

In the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, Alice Cullen's backstory is briefly touched upon but not extensively explored in the movies. She is one of the most interesting secondary characters; however, sadly, the franchise never explored more about Alice’s life. Alice Cullen, originally named Mary Alice Brandon, was born in 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She had premonitions of the future from a young age, which often came to her in the form of visions. Her ability to see the future was a result of her transformation into a vampire. Before she became a vampire, Alice was placed in a mental asylum by her family because her visions were misunderstood as signs of insanity. Even as a human, she had visions of the future, which set her apart from others. These visions often came to her in flashes and dreams, giving her glimpses of what was to come. However, her abilities also made her an outcast, and was misunderstood by her family and peers. Her dark backstory led to her being institutionalized in a mental asylum by her family, who believed she was suffering from madness.

Alice's life changed dramatically when she was transformed into a vampire by James, a vampire tracker who was intrigued by her abilities. After becoming a vampire, Alice found herself alone, as her family had passed away during her time in the asylum. This loneliness and her newfound vampiric nature forced Alice to adapt quickly to survive in the world of vampires. Then, Alice spent several decades living as a nomadic vampire, traveling alone and occasionally meeting others of her kind. This period was likely filled with challenges as she navigated the complexities of vampire society and the constant temptation of human blood. Her visions continued to guide her, helping her avoid danger and find opportunities for sustenance and safety.

In 1948, Alice's path crossed with Jasper Hale, who was then part of a more predatory vampire coven. Alice and Jasper formed a deep connection, possibly due to Jasper's ability to manipulate emotions and Alice's understanding of the future. Together, they eventually encountered Carlisle Cullen, who offered them a place in his family of ethical vampires. Joining the Cullens provided Alice with a sense of belonging and stability she had not experienced since her human life. Alice's journey from a misunderstood human with extraordinary abilities to a respected member of the Cullen family showcases her resilience and adaptability. Her ability to see the future continues to shape her decisions and interactions, influencing her protective nature towards her family and her strategic approach to dealing with threats.
