Arsenal leads the title race

Manchester City levels with Liverpool after paying the men in red a visit at Anfield which puts Arsenal at the top of the table. The top 3 is only separated by one point at the moment.

A really historic Premier League match lived up to the hype, at least in terms of intensity, although the stalemate keeps neither team atop the standings.

With ten games remaining for each of the three superpowers, the standings shows Arsenal with 64 points, Liverpool with 64 points, and Manchester City with 63 points. And on March 31, Manchester City and Arsenal will face against each other.

In the first forty-five minutes, the visitors had the better opportunities, and they took the lead with a goal that was produced on the practice field. While Mac Allister's defensive run was stopped by Nathan Ake, John Stones converted a low corner whipped into the near post by Kevin De Bruyne instead.

However, just after the half, Ake also played a crucial role when Ederson's underhit backpass caused Darwin Nunez to be clattered nearby. To make things worse for the winners, Ederson was forced to leave the game due to an injury he received during the challenge. Mac Allister successfully converted the penalty.

City, who have suffered a great deal on this field under Guardiola's illustrious leadership, found it difficult to gather themselves. With 30 minutes remaining, Mohamed Salah came off the bench to strengthen an injury-plagued starting lineup, and Anfield smelled blood.

Luis Diaz was the primary offender as Liverpool missed chances to win a crucial three points. He steered wide after a delicious through ball from Salah and was then stopped by a last-ditch block from Kyle Walker. In addition, Ortega displayed incredible composure considering the predicament that City's backup goalie was put in.

Despite their difficulties, City had their best chance to win it in the 89th minute when Jeremy Doku, a replacement, received a ball from Erling Haaland and watched his effort bounce off the inside of the post and into Caoimhin Kelleher's appreciative arms.

Deep into stoppage time, Doku was exhaling with satisfaction as he managed to avoid a VAR check and catch Mac Allister in the chest with his studs in the area. After that, Guardiola and Klopp were able to exhale and give each other a hug. Between them, they have created a timeless rivalry and era.

Jurgen Klopp remarked that Liverpool was denied a simple penalty and asked Stuart Attwell, the VAR official, what he had "for lunch" after Alexis Mac Allister was challenged by Jérémy Doku of Manchester City in the 99th minute, with his chest high.

"Why would the guy in the VAR room think that's not clear and obvious?" Klopp said. "What did he have for lunch?"

"It was 100 percent a penalty. They [officials] will find an explanation. It was 100 percent foul in all areas of the pitch and probably a yellow card.

"Somebody will tell me how it was not a penalty, or Howard [Webb, head of Professional Game Match Officials Ltd.] will call me tomorrow and say he is sorry. These are the two possible outcomes and both things will not change the result.

"All the people with iPads around me were, 'Wow, clear.' Maybe they can hide behind the phrase it is not clear and obvious.

"It is of course a penalty but we didn't get it and that is fine. The most important thing for me is that we can play football like that. I saw so many sensational performances today."

Liverpool is one point ahead of City in the championship battle, but stands behind leaders Arsenal, thanks to the draw. On March 31, City plays Arsenal at the Etihad.

The title race is getting more and more electrifying, who will get out on top?
