Tonight FOX Sports will host the two remaining matches of the quarter-finals of the Copa America with Columbia facing Panama and Uruaguay vs Brazil. Not the most surprising remaining bunch but what is interesting is their upbringing. Here is a recap of the four teams yet to play today for their spot in Copa America 2024 semi-finals.
Columbia has had a fantastic showing and has not displayed much difficulty in doing so. Panama has been on the easier route not having the most competition in their group and also not finishing top of the group. Don't neglect the possible success of the Panama team. Out of every team in the competition, they have shown themselves as a team that can play under pressure despite the overwhelming competition around them. The predicted outcome that can be made is still a defeat for Panama as Columbia's attack has been scary for every opponent they face.
Uruguay has a tough matchup against one of the world's best in Brazil. However, they have been shown to be on the weaker side of the lineups they have produced in the last decade as they have underperformed. There are high expectations when you have a team that has future Ballon d'Or winner Vinicius Jr. Though he is suffering an injury there are stars like Rodrygo to replace him for the match along with Allison and veterans like Marquinhos on the backline. Judging by the groups, it is hard to neglect the talent on this Brazilian side. Watch both games this evening to determine the semi-finals of this amazing tournament.
