At halftime the England and Switzerland are goaless in the quarters while both teams producing a more attacking tactical analysis with running 3 at the back. England has been the team with the most attempted shots that have shown a lack of threat to Sommer but that won't stop their effort with the talent they have. Switzerland have had it more difficult with striker Embolo suffering an injury. As many would expect England have been the team on top with most of every stat but not by an overwheling margin with both teams having similar shots on goal.
Ultimately, both teams need to test the keepers much more to have a true spark of victory at the end of the second half. The pace up front and the deadball players that Switzerland have lined up for the second half should see their way to work through a goal but it will be difficult with the overwhelming talent on the other end. England have a great chance at getting that goal. Give credit to Switzerland for their cleansheet at the moment but it is easy to predict that it won't hold in the second half. Like yesterday with France vs. Portugal, both teams are going to show a more aggressive approach to this second half to force extra time. If Switzerland can continue to hold their own, the quarter finals may have a 3/3 game to go into extra time.
