Grading the top 10 NFL Draft picks

  1. Caleb Williams (QB) - Bears

The Chicago Bears finally get their quarterback. Williams has the tools to be an elite player in the NFL, and the situation he’s entering in Chicago is  great for a first year quarterback.

Grade: A+

2. Jayden Daniels (QB) - Commanders

The Washington Commanders try again with another quarterback, this time they get a Heisman winner in Daniels. He will be a great fit in the new look offense for Washington.

Grade: A-

3. Drake Maye (QB) - Patriots

The New England Patriots are trying to fill the void of a once great dynasty. Maye has the tools to be a solid quarterback in the NFL, but will he be the answer the Patriots are looking for? I think so.

Grade: B-

4. Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR) - Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray get their star wide receiver for the future. Harrison is the best receiver in the draft and they could not pass on him.

Grade: A+

5. Joe Alt (OT) - Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers take an elite offensive lineman with the fifth pick. Alt will help protect Justin Herbert, but I think they should have taken a receiver with this pick.

Grade: C+

6. Malik Nabers (WR) - Giants

The New York Giants finally get an elite wide receiver. Daniel Jones still needs to drastically improve for the Giants to go anywhere, but Nabers is a huge start to his development.

Grade: A

7. JC Latham (OT) - Titans

The Tennessee Titans get some much needed protection for rising quarterback Will Levis. Latham was a solid prospect at Alabama, and I’m sure his game will translate to the pros.

Grade: B-

8. Michael Penix Jr. (QB) - Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons made a questionable move by taking Penix here. He is a great prospect, but he has injury history and is turning 24 in May. After just signing Kirk Cousins, I’m not sure why they didn’t take an edge rusher.

Grade: D

9. Rome Odunze (WR) - Bears

The Chicago Bears landed a perfect third wide receiver to play beside DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. This wide receiver core is already one of the best in the NFL, and Caleb Williams has a great situation in his NFL career already.

Grade: A

10. JJ McCarthy (QB) - Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have found their replacement for Kirk Cousins. McCarthy was a winner in college and he hopes to translate to the big leagues. He is entering a solid core of Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, TJ Hockenson & Aaron Jones. This is a solid move for a young Vikings squad.

Grade: B-
