The New York Jets’ year ended within two minutes in the 2023 season, with Aaron Rodgers tearing his achilles week 1. They are looking forward to this season though, as everyone is now healthy. In the always exciting AFC, how far can they go?
With the Buffalo Bills having a bad offseason, their chances of winning the AFC East again is slim. The Miami Dolphins pose the biggest threat to the Jets, as they have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. New York has a deep roster that can win the division, but they don’t have much experience with one another yet, especially on the offensive side with Rodgers.
Last season was a forgettable one for the Jets, to no surprise. Jets fans are tired of the same old thing, and this year should be different. They still have weapons such as Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. They also added Mike Williams as well in the offseason. Rodgers has a nice crew to work with, as long as he’s back to normal in terms of health. The 40 year old is ready to win another championship, and this current Jets team is the best chance he’s had in a long time.
Defensively, New York is one of the best in the league. Quinnen Williams, Jermaine Johnson, Javon Kinlaw, Sauce Gardner, DJ Reed and Haason Reddick (who hasn’t been to OTAs yet) is an amazing defensive core. The defense is the reason why they were in a lot of games last season after poor quarterback play.
New York is in a win now situation, there’s absolutely no doubt about that. Time is ticking for Aaron Rodgers, who turns 41 this December. Time is even ticking for Robert Saleh, who hasn’t proven himself as a head coach quite yet. Jets fans are starving for a successful season, and this is their best chance in a very long time.
