Jason Kelce announces his retirement from the NFL

Jason Kelce, the greatest center in NFL history, announced his retirement Monday afternoon after a prolific 13 years in the league. At a press conference in front of a crowd of family and friends, he calls it quits after months of contemplating.

Kelce finishes his career being a seven time Pro Bowl selection and a six time First Team All-Pro. He also appeared in two Super Bowls, winning one of them (LII). He will undoubtedly be a first ballot hall of famer. Kelce started 193 games in his career, and played tough as nails in every single one. Being one of the most respected players in the game, the Eagles and the NFL will miss Jason dearly.

The 36 year old will now have more time to spend with his family, something that he talks about often. Kelce has a wife and three daughters that he cherishes more than anything. He has given so much to the game and he has earned a break. He was still in football shape, but he has done enough. His resume speaks for itself. Years from now, a call from Canton will come to Kelce, and it will be much deserved.
