Jones’s NBA Finals prediction

The NBA Finals matchup of the Dallas Mavericks versus the Boston Celtics is one of the best in recent memory. Storylines, matchups, coaching and fans are some highlights of this series already. The question is: who will win it all?

Boston has been the overwhelming favorite all season to take the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The issue with them is their depth. A healthy Dallas team will give them trouble when it comes to this. The Celtics starting lineup almost has to play perfect in order to dominate games.

Luka and Kyrie are the two focal points that the Celtics must keep their eyes on in order to win. If they can slow them down, they should win this series. These two are able to go off at any point in time, and they are one of the scariest duos in the league.

The same goes for Boston, as they have the Tatum and Brown duo. If Dallas can slow these two down, they will win the series. Boston’s all star duo has been to the NBA Finals before, so they are hungry for it.

The biggest difference makers in this series will be the role players. Derrick White, Jrue Holiday and Al Horford are the guys for Boston. Dereck Lively, Daniel Gafford, PJ Washington and Derrick Jones Jr are the guys for Dallas. These guys will be the x-factors for whoever comes out on top.

Jayson Tatum is on the hunt for his first ring to add to his resume. Kyrie Irving’s return to Boston is crucial. He wants this title more than anything. Luka is a superstar and an NBA title will add to his legacy. Dallas will win this series due to having more depth and having the better superstar duo in Luka and Kyrie. This will be an exciting series though, as it will most likely go 6 or 7 games.
