This upcoming NFL season will be special. After a buzzing offseason, many teams have new additions including players and coaches. Many of these new look teams will look to make noise, and here are the predictions of the 2024 division standings.
NFC EAST:
Philadelphia Eagles
Dallas Cowboys
Washington Commanders
New York Giants
The Eagles are too dominant to not finish in first place this season. Dallas didn’t make any offseason moves to make their team better. The Commanders made many slight improvements to their roster. For the Giants, they improved on defense but their offense is still lackluster.
NFC NORTH:
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Chicago Bears
Minnesota Vikings
This will be a tight race between the north. The Lions are coming off an NFC Championship appearance. Green Bay is young and can only get better. The Bears have improved drastically this offseason. Minnesota still has some major offensive weapons, but there’s a question mark at QB and the defense.
NFC SOUTH:
Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New Orleans Saints
Carolina Panthers
Atlanta finally has a quarterback for their offensive talent. Tampa still has the same squad from last season. The Saints didn’t make many moves in the offseason. For the Panthers, they are still in rebuild mode.
NFC WEST:
San Francisco 49ers
Los Angeles Rams
Seattle Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals
The 49ers are the clear cut favorite in this division. The Rams have a solid squad from top to bottom. Seattle is still trying to find their rhythm. Arizona is still a developing team, but they have made strides.
AFC EAST:
Miami Dolphins
New York Jets
Buffalo Bills
New England Patriots
The race for 1 and 2 will be close. Miami’s explosive offense will keep opposing teams on their toes. The Jets still have a lot to prove. Buffalo has lost a lot of power over the offseason. New England is a rebuilding team, but their defense will keep them in games.
AFC NORTH:
Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers
This is the best division in football. Baltimore still has a great roster and the reigning MVP. A healthy Cincinnati team can do a lot of damage. The Browns are just too talented to finish last. For the Steelers, they need to find their identity fairly quickly.
AFC SOUTH:
Houston Texans
Tennessee Titans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
This division is simply young and hungry. Houston is the clear choice for the 1 spot. Tennessee has had a sneaky offseason. The Colts will try to get back in the mix. The Jaguars are in a place where they need to make some noise immediately.
AFC WEST:
Kansas City Chiefs
Las Vegas Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers
Denver Broncos
The Chiefs, are the Chiefs. No further explanation. Las Vegas is a sleeper pick for 2, they will be hungry. The Chargers are in a slight reset. For the Broncos, they are in a rebuilding phase. This division will have the furthest distance between first place and everyone else.
