NFL Week 2 Spread Picks

Following last week's disastrous performance by yours truly, let's try to rewrite the ship and get back on track with a brand new slate of games in NFL week 2. Like always these picks will be against the spread, not the moneyline.

Ravens (-9) Vs. Raiders - Baltimore coming off a heartbreaking opening night loss against the Chiefs where a toe held them back from collecting a win against the reigning b2b Super Bowl champs. Raiders look awful and have no offense, so with that being said give me the (Raiders +9)

Panthers (+6) Vs. Chargers - Carolina easily looked like the worst team in the NFL in week 1, where i really thought they would come out with an improved offense with new HC Dave Canales and year two of Bryce Young. That couldn’t have been more off, and I told myself to always pick against the Panthers for the next 17 weeks, well here we are in week two and I'm saying to myself, it can't get worse, can it? (Panthers +6)

Cowboys (-6.5) Vs. Saints - Both squads had dominating week one victories, and Dallas hasn’t lost at home in the regular season in over 365 days. Saints come back down to earth a little after week 1, and the Cowboy's offense clicks at home. (Cowboys -6.5)

Lions (-7) Vs. Buccaneers - My lock of the week is Tampa Bay here. I think all of us as NFL fans are guilty of falling in love with the shiny new toy or the team that made the best new additions during the offseason. Tampa Bay has its core intact and should be the favorite to win the NFC South again. (Buccs +7)

Packers (+3) Vs. Colts - There is absolutely no way i am betting on Malik Wills, Jordan Love’s status is up in the air but seems like he will be out. Colts had some moments of firepower against Houston on Sunday, and AR5 will lead this team to great heights. Colts (-3)

Jaguars (-3) Vs. Browns - Cleveland couldn't get any lower than where they are right now, and the Jags chocked away a win in Miami, so ill take the better QB at home looking to get win #1 of their season. Jaguars (-3).

Vikings (+6) Vs. 49ers - Sam Darnold & The Vikings had a surprisingly great offensive performance against the Giants, and I think that continues in their home opener. (Vikings +6)

Patriots (+3.5) Vs. Seahawks - Probably going to be one of the lowest-scoring games of the week, two really great defenses. Seattle does have better weapons on the offensive side of the ball, so ill go with them, although i am not confident. (Seahawks -3.5)

Titans (+3.5) Vs. Jets - Wow do the Jets need to win this game, otherwise you might not hear from me for months. Tennessee should’ve beaten Chicago so maybe they are better than we thought, but for my own health, the Jets win this game easily, I hope. (Jets -3.5)

Commanders (-1.5) Vs. Giants - Jayden Daniels had moments in his NFL debut, and the Giants are one of the worst teams this year, A pretty underwhelming matchup where Washington should take care of business.

Cardinals (-1.5) Vs. Rams - When I first saw this line it made absolutely no sense, but with Nacua’s injury and other banged-up players on the Rams o line, Arizona is going to surprise some and drop the Rams to 0-2, although I don't think there is reason to panic yet for LA. (Cardinals -1.5)

Chiefs (-5) Vs. Bengals - These two teams who came into 2023 as Super Bowl contenders could not be further apart after week 1. The Chiefs look better on paper than years before and the Bengals have a lot of questions regarding their player's injury status and contract situations. Although Burrow has had previous success in Arrowhead, this is not the Bengals of old. (Chiefs -5)

Broncos (+2.5) Vs. Steelers - What will be the lowest-scoring game of the week, this steelers defensive front could be way too much for a rookie Bo Nix to handle. It will most likely be Justin Fields again, and if he does what he did last week, Pitt could start the campaign 2-0. (Steelers -2.5)

Texans (-6) Vs. Bears - Caleb Williams is still searching for his first career NFL touchdown after a bad offensive performance by the Bears on Sunday. But as they say, a win is a win, and Williams is also undefeated in the NFL. With that being said they will get absolutely destroyed on Sunday Night Football (Texans -6).

Eagles (-6.5) Vs. Falcons - Kirk Cousins had an Atlanta debut to forget, but that could've been attributed to the Steeler's elite defense rather than the Falcon's struggles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get any easier going to Philly. The team that most thought would win the NFC South will most likely be starting 0-2. (Eagles -6.5)
