One's to Watch Transfers to the MLS - July 4th Update

With Independence Day coming to an end, here is an updated list of transfers made, soon-to-come transfers and rumors for MLS sides as we take another step closer to the July 18th summer transfer window.

Dominique Badji and David Schnegg to DC United

MLS veteran Dominique Badji makes a return stop at DC United signing as a free agent from Turkey to add more depth and bolster the attack with Christian Benteke. Badji has 43 goals and 23 assists in 205 MLS appearances playing for the likes of FC Cincinnati, Colorado Rapids, Nashville SC and FC Dallas in his nine seasons, now going to be making it ten with the Eagles. This signing will give the team some life as they are last in the Eastern Conference, will they bounce back with Badji?

David Schnegg, Austrian Bundesliga (AB) 2024 League winner, has signed a two-year deal with DC United. Schnegg has 11 goals and 21 assists in 179 matches with his success in achieving 3 AB titles. After being a lead factor in winning Sturm Graz's fourth AB title, he has shown his ability in the backline to help the Eagles out of the rut that they are in currently.

LA Galaxy Sign Borussia Dortmund Legend Marco Reus on a Free Deal

LA Galaxy are looking for a star outside their universe as they sign Marco Reus to enhance their playmaking and goal-scoring ability this summer. This signing towers over the quality of play that you would traditionally see out of the MLS which makes it as important as it is. Could this be the signing that helps Galaxy contend in the West and MLS?

From France to America, 2 Proven Talents to Compete in the MLS

Dylan Chambost from St. Etienne signs with Columbus Crew to replace the now Middlesbrough American Aidan Morris. Chambost has spent all six of his professional seasons in France with Etienne and Troyes. Though there is a gap for 2nd and 1st, both New York teams are right behind Columbus to takeover their run of form. The Crew have found their replacement but is this enough for them to compete with Cincinnati and Inter Miami and the rest of MLS' top teams for the East?

Osmari Bukari signs a deal of a transfer sum of $7 million from Red Stars to Austin FC. As of right now, all three texas teams are not having the best form. Houston is in a playoff position but has looked shaky while Dallas is severly under performing with the talent they have. Will this signing not only help Austin remind Texas residents and the nation that they are a serious team but will it produce more going forward with the pace and dribbling ability to get behind opposition lines?
