Phillies suffer injuries

Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber will each miss at least ten days for the Phillies. Sources say that both avoided significant injuries though, which is an amazing sign for Philadelphia.

For Harper, it’s a low-grade hamstring strain. The superstar could be back as soon as July 9, but the Phillies want to be careful and give him time to recover properly.

Schwarber suffered a groin strain, but thankfully it is just considered a mild one. He also will be out for a decent amount of time.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said both players could return within the next two weeks. “There’s a good chance they’ll come back before the All-Star break,” Thomson said. “But having said that, we want to make sure they’re completely healed.”

Unfortunately, the World Series favorite Phillies have dealt with injuries all season. JT Realmuto and Trea Turner, who are massive pieces for the Phils, have been sidelined as well.

These players won’t be out for the entire season, so that is a positive note for Phillies fans and baseball fans everywhere. Philly has struggled a bit in their absence, but they will ultimately find their way back.
