Steph Curry and the Warriors Recent Struggles: Is the Dynasty Officially Over?

Everyone knows the historic franchise that is the Golden State Warriors, and the numerous accolades that they have achieved as a team. There great success in the recent years falls on the back of non other than Stephen Curry. With help from players like, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and others, Steph Curry and the Warriors made a name for themselves as one of the best team's and dynasties of all time. With a total of four championships through out Steph's historic career and leading the Warriors to the best record of all time at 73-9 in the regular season, there will never be any denying the impacts that Steph and the Warrior's had on our beloved NBA.

Having the main core of Steph, Klay, and Draymond stick together for so long is a big reason for this great longevity of success. Sadly, as we see them all age we are slowing starting to see the decline of this historic franchise. With Steph now at the age of 35, and Klay and Draymond sitting at 34, there window of winning more championships may be over. In recent games especially, we haven't seen Steph and Klay look like the splash brothers that we are used too.

The Warriors now sit at 9th in the west and with Steph shooting some of the lowest numbers in his carrier, it will be difficult for them to turn there season around and become championship contenders. A recent blowout loss to Boston, with a score of 140-88, really woke up the fans of the NBA and they started to take notice of the Warrior's struggles. This is something that many fans are not used to so it comes as a surprise to many that this team is struggling so much.

As the warriors now have one of the oldest starting line ups, its hard for them to keep up with this new wave of young talent in the NBA. With the west being stacked with talent, and also housing the defending NBA champions, the Warriors may not see another championship trophy for a long time.

Like all great things, they eventually come to an end, but seeing a player like Steph Curry succeed for so long is something that we as NBA fans have to be thankful for. Becoming the "greatest shooter of all time" is a something that takes complete dedication and countless hours of hard work. Steph Curry changed the dynamic of the NBA and made an everlasting impact on how the game of basketball is played. His final years may not be the best we have ever seen, but they will be some of the most special as the time to see this one in a life time talent in slowly coming to an end.
