The Miracle in Arrowhead to Come?: USA vs. Uruguay to determine Group C in the Copa America - Team USA Report

Team USA vs. Uruguay will play the deciding game of Group C in the Copa America at 8 p.m. CT in Kansas City. The famous Arrowhead Stadium will host the clash of the two top teams in the group, with Americans hoping for another day to celebrate with the Fourth right around the corner. The predictions are tight, but as of right now the underdogs in the red, white and blue are predicted to win +5% odds according to Bing. With the tenacity of team USA and the star power for Uruguay, this will be a game to remember for both countries for many years to come. This game is bolstered with the statistics of a must-win game for USA to have a guaranteed spot in the Round of 16, but there is a chance that Bolivia pulls off a stunner against Panama. If both games for the group draw, team USA also goes through, but putting your bets on that has quite slim odds of seeing the fire in team Panama.

Lineup Changes for Team USA:

With Matt Turner doubtful to return due to his leg injury we may see Ethan Horvath representing the stars and stripes, but Berhalter is still monitoring Turner's health. The run of form in the backline hasn't been stellar, therefore I would expect some interesting tactical changes to come with Ream, Scally, A. Robinson and Chris Richards despite their yellow cards in the tournament. In the midfield is where team USA is notable for their talent as expected with the likes of McKennie (also yellow card), Musah and Reyna. This drops T. Adams, but will be a great asset in the second half of play. In attack, Balogun and Pulisic would be the no brainers with Sargent on the bench as another asset, but what will team USA do about the other winger position? Although Sargent has shown better performances with Norwich city and their playoff promotion run in this past EFL Championship season, Haji Wright has played that winger role more naturally. Wright will most likely be slotted in at LW like how he is at Coventry City and Pulisic will go in at RW.

Expected Result:

It is a tough night to be a team USA fan as they face Uruguay who has secured a spot to move on to the Round of 16, hopefully that brings neglect to the team's need to "try their hardest." The talent is overwhelming on paper, but like most of any game by team USA they play the game not the paper. It will be dependent on the confidence in coach Greg Berhalter with his coming lineup and tactics in addition to the heart of the team. Despite the odds by talent, this game is at home and that brings some great confidence to the fans. Hopeful to see this game go down towards a late winner, but expetanct of a 2-1 or 3-1 loss. Hoping to be proven wrong and to see team USA in the Round of 16!
