The title race has only just begun.

Premier league has always been considered to be the most electrifying football league across all competitions in the world. This year is set to be the tightest title race in many years.

In the five most recent matches, Liverpool was only defeated once on February the 4th against Arsenal the current number three on the standings. However, they are able to hold the top spot with 57 points, only one point ahead of Manchester City and two points over Arsenal.

Unfortunately, injury force Diogo Jota out for several months. Salah is doubtful for Luton's trip to Anfield on Wednesday, even though he only returned from a month-long absence at Brentford on Saturday due to a hamstring injury. Earlier than anticipated, Liverpool's top scorer was substituted for the injured Jota in the 44th minute of the 4-1 victory. However, following the game, he had hamstring fatigue. At Sunday's Carabao Cup final, Klopp is certain that Salah won't have to miss any more significant time out due to injury, despite the fact that he lost Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Jota, Thiago Alcântara, and maybe Dominik Szoboszlai due to injury.

In case you missed it, this is also set to be Jurgen Klopp's last season with Liverpool, who is the current manager of Liverpool Football Club as he announced retirement at the end of the 2023/2024 Premier League season. Klopp made it clear to supporters that he won't be faltering in any kind, and there is still plenty of football left to play for through to the end of the season.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have won five times in a row, recorded on Saturday as they came out with a comfortable 5-0 winners against Burnley. Without a doubt, Arteta's squad is in good depth and strength to clinch this year title.

Three upcoming games for Arsenal could be the game changer as they will face Manchester City, Tottenham, and Manchester United all away respectively.

In past seasons, Arsenal was known for bottling the champion title towards the end of the season. For instance, a mistake by Arsenal that gave away Manchester City the lead of the title race and they finished strong ahead. Will they make the same mistake this year?

With 13 rounds of games remaining, Manchester City's 1-0 victory against Brentford on today's evening propelled Pep Guardiola's club beyond Arsenal into second position, one point behind leaders Liverpool. The top three are separated by just two points for the first time since 2015–16, when the Gunners, in third place, were two points behind leaders Leicester after 26 games. this a matter of fact, there have only been seven prior Premier League seasons during which the difference at the top has been this narrow—and just four times this century.

It was a disappointment for the fans after drawing with Chelsea last week at Etihad Stadium, the superstar Erling Haaland stepped up and scored an important goal against Brentford today to ignite the hopes to take the championship four times in a row and become the first squad to do so. They still have a great chance to win the championship, as they play Liverpool at Anfield in March in a pivotal encounter.

Manchester United, who is currently standing at 6th place with 44 points, behind Tottenham with 47 points, and the current 4th Champion League spot holder for the next season, Aston Villa with 49 points. Erik ten Hag's squad looks very promising at the moment with the line up full of young players. Rasmus Hojlund scored twice on Sunday within seven minutes to claim a 2-1 victory over Luton Town, became the youngest player to score in six consecutive games in the top flight. Additionally, he has scored eight goals in his past eight games, indicating that he has regained confidence after difficult start of the season.

There is still a long way to the end, will Manchester United be able to snatch that 4th place and earn a spot for the Champions League next season? Can Liverpool hold onto the top spot and lift the triumph for Klopp's last season?
