Three EPL Teams Set to Participate in Summer 2024 US Tour

Three English Premier League teams are getting ready for a mini-series of games set to take place this summer at various locations throughout the United States. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool are all set to cross the Atlantic to participate in this special opportunity.

Overtime, the United States hasn't been known for its high level of soccer competition or popularity. However, with the English Premier League known as one of the top soccer leagues globally, this three-game series is expected to bring much needed attention to the US soccer world. The matches are scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Columbia, South Carolina, three thriving US cities.

The series called "Rivals in Red," is scheduled to kick off at SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Chargers, on July 27th. The opening match will feature Manchester City facing off against Arsenal. As all three of these clubs in the series are historic rivals, these matches should come with great levels of competition and should hopefully bring a memorable experience for many US fans.

While these games may not carry substantial meaning for the Premier League teams, as they are essentially serving as preseason matches, their significance is important for the United States and all soccer enthusiasts across the nation. This marks the first time that three Premier League teams are engaging in organized matches on US soil, and it is hoped that this will become a recurring event.

The ultimate goal is to attract more high-level European clubs to schedule games on American turf. Bringing in these three specific big name clubs is a great way to start this new trend of foreign talent. All three of these clubs hold significant historic value and are known globally as some of the best of the best.

The three-game mini-tournament includes Arsenal taking on Manchester United at SoFi Stadium on July 27th. After that, Arsenal will face Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, on July 31st. The series concludes with Manchester United playing against Liverpool at William Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 3rd. With such diverse locations, every die-hard soccer fan should have the opportunity to witness one of these legendary clubs in action on their home turf.

With the next World Cup being partially in America, and Messi now playing in the US, American soccer popularity is starting to heat up like we have never seen before. These types of mini series from popular soccer leagues across the globe could hopefully become the norm in America, and soccer fandom may rise towards the top of the leaderboard for US sports.

Soccer has never been a main sport in US history, even though its the leading sport world wide in popularity. This is something that US soccer fans want to change, as in most cases the MLS which is the American professional soccer league, doesn't live up to the hype of leagues like the EPL, La Liga, The Champions League, etc. These types of leagues coming to play games in America make it much easier and accessible for US fans to attend and enjoy and can soon be the start of a new wave of soccer in America.
