Top 5 NFL QB’s entering 2024

Many starting quarterbacks in the NFL were plagued with injuries throughout the 2023-24 season. Entering the 2024-25 season, most starters will be healthy again and are ready to ball. Here are the top five quarterbacks entering the year.

5. Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts had a down year in 2023-24, but that down year still allocated 38 total touchdowns. He also played in one of the worst offensive schemes in football, there were many times where the offense was in complete shambles. Hurts would be the one to make the big play for the Eagles when it was needed. One thing he has to do is cut back on turnovers, but he still has the wide receiver duo of AJ Brown and Devonta Smith to his benefit. After the addition of Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator and Saquon Barkley in the backfield as well, Hurts will vastly improve in 2024-25.

4. CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud had one of the greatest rookie seasons of all time last year, throwing for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. He truly made it look effortless on the field. After the Houston Texans acquired Stefon Diggs in the offseason, this helped Stroud out even more. He has a core of Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell, Dalton Schultz and Joe Mixon. Stroud will only get better as time progresses, and he will have a great season in 2024-25.

3. Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow is coming off another season ending injury, but the hunger is stronger than ever before. He and the Bengals still have an elite wide receiver duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins (for now). The world has seen what Burrow is capable of when he’s healthy, with two AFC Championship appearances and a Super Bowl appearance already. As long as he can stay on the field, Burrow will be a top five quarterback once again in 2024-25.

2. Lamar Jackson

Not much needs to be said here, this is a two time NFL MVP. Lamar Jackson is ready to lead the Ravens to a deep playoff run once again, but he does have to have his special playoff moment. He made it to the AFC Championship last season, but ultimately came up short against the eventual Super Bowl winning Chiefs. Jackson is the only multiple time MVP to not win a championship, and he has that chip on his shoulder entering the 2024-25 season.

  1. Patrick Mahomes

No surprise here, this is the second greatest quarterback of all time (argue with a wall). Patrick Mahomes is coming off his third Super Bowl victory, and he only wants more. Kansas City is the team to fear in the NFL, and it’s solely because of Mahomes. Every time people think Mahomes is slowing down, he proves them wrong again and again. As long as he’s healthy, he will be the best quarterback in the league in 2024-25.
