Patrick Mahomes won his third Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP this past February against the 49ers in typical Patrick Mahomes fashion. He was nothing short of stellar and electric. At only 28 years of age, he has already cemented himself in greatest of all time discussions.
Everyone should agree by now that Tom Brady is the undisputed GOAT. Seven Super Bowl championships along with having the most career passing yards, touchdowns and wins. I will say though, Brady didn’t start out his career like Mahomes has. The trajectory he is on is quite unbelievable. Three Super Bowl championships, three Super Bowl MVPs, two regular season MVPs, three time All-Pro and six time Pro Bowler. All of these accomplishments by the age of 28.
The scary thing about Patrick Mahomes is that his receiving core hasn’t been great the last two championships. Of course he has arguably the greatest tight end ever in Travis Kelce, but outside of him, his core is weak. We have witnessed Mahomes win a championship with Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney scoring touchdowns. Mahomes can work with almost anyone at the wide receiver position and knows how to make players better.
We haven’t seen the end of Patrick Mahomes. We know he has plenty of years left in the tank. With his current resume, he is on an amazing trajectory. The question is, where does he currently rank among the all time greats? Here are my top five quarterbacks of all time.
