Former Player Says 1 QB Has Quit On His Team

When it rains, it pours for the Dallas Cowboys.

What already looked like a wasted season only got worse on Sunday.

Dak Prescott couldn’t finish the game vs. the Atlanta Falcons after injuring his hamstring, and he’s now looking at some time on the shelf.

Reports state that he’ll be placed on Injured Reserve (IR), so he’ll be forced to miss four games at the very least.

Notably, that didn’t sit right with James Jones.

Talking on FOX’s “The Facility,” the former star claimed that Prescott has quit on his team.

He stated that we’ve seen players, himself included, coming back from a hamstring injury in a week or simply playing through it.

He argued that Prescott isn’t a mobile quarterback, so it’s not like he’ll aggravate that injury by running or scrambling around.

Add the now-viral clip of him talking about his team on the sidelines, which isn’t a good look for him, says Jones.

He thinks he’s pretty much bailing on them after watching them fall to 3-5, adding that he wouldn’t respect or be happy with him if they were teammates.

Of course, no one can attest to how much pain someone is dealing with.

Also, soft-tissue injuries tend to linger, so people are overly cautious.

Still, it’s hard to imagine Prescott taking the same approach if the Cowboys were 5-3 instead of 3-5.

Then again, that decision might come from the team, not from him.
