Yoel Romero made quick work of his opponent to close the show at Dirty Boxing Championship’s first event.
Mike Perry’s new combat sports promotion held a private event on Saturday night in Miami, and in the main event, Romero absolutely destroyed Power Slap standout Duane Crespo for a first-round knockout.
Check out the absolutely brutal finish below.
Romero’s participation on the event was kept a secret until Friday when he surprised the combat sports community when he weighed in for the heavyweight headliner. The multi-time UFC title challenger, and four-fight Bellator veteran picked up his second victory of 2024. In February, “Solider of God” earned a unanimous decision victory over Thiago Santos at the PFL vs. Bellator fight card.
The 47-year-old now has four victories in his past five combat sports outings — which includes a pair of third-round knockout victories over Melvin Manhoef and Alex Polizzi.
Crespo entered the slap fighting world after four straight knockout losses in a combination of MMA, boxing, and bare-knuckle boxing bouts. “The Iron Giant” has won three consecutive bouts in Dana White’s Power Slap organization.
