Joe Coffey def. Harlem Lewis
Competing with the bluster and mean streak that one would expect from a former Division I linebacker, Harlem Lewis showed no intimidation against the much more experienced Joe Coffey.
Lewis staggered Coffey with several vicious right hands and a ring-shaking scoop slam, but the onslaught angered the menacing Coffey, who was already in a foul mood after taking the pinfall in Gallus’ recent loss to Cutler James, Dion Lennox and Shiloh Hill.
With both competitors happy to exchange haymakers in the center of the ring, Coffey got the better of a critical exchange and clobbered Lewis with All the Best for the Bells to seal the win.
Lainey Reid def. Tyra Mae Steele
Sporting a new win-at-all-costs mantra, Lainey Reid stepped into the NXT Arena in search of her third straight win after recently knocking off Layla Diggs and Carlee Bright.
Reid brazenly trash talked former Olympic gold medalist Tyra Mae Steele, who received loud “Tyra” chants from the NXT Universe and frustrated Reid with some textbook grappling and a German suplex for a two-count.
Steele seemed to be closing in on a massive win when she caught the airborne Reid out of the air, but Reid raked her opponent’s eyes and rolled her up with a handful of tights for the three-count. Following the match, Diggs hit the scene and chased Reid back into the ring and right into an impressive slam by Steele.
Dante Chen def. Shiloh Hill
It’s only a matter of time before rookie Superstars cross paths with “The Gatekeeper of NXT” Dante Chen, and the towering Shiloh Hill got his chance at scoring the biggest win of his career in NXT Level Up’s main event.
Hill, who recently teamed with Cutler James and Dion Lennox for an eye-opening victory against Gallus, found himself twisted into a pretzel by Chen. However, Hill endured the punishment and landed several wicked clotheslines and a swinging neckbreaker.
Following an exciting series of pinfall reversals, Chen landed a boot to the chin and a decisive Chentle Touch.
