Jay Glazer Reveals How NFL Scouts Are Projecting Travis Hunter In NFL

Travis Hunter hasn’t played a single snap of NFL football yet, but he’s been the biggest talking point in league circles for quite a while now.

That’s not very common for a player with no defined position, but there’s nothing common about his game.

Hunter dominated at both wide receiver and cornerback and while he’s repeatedly talked about his desire to play on both sides of the ball in the pros, chances are that scouts and executives don’t want him to do that.

With that in mind, NFL insider Jay Glazer asked around the league to determine whether decision-makers consider him a wide receiver or a cornerback.

Talking on FOX Sports’s NFL pre-game coverage, Glazer revealed that only one executive claimed that they see Hunter as a wide receiver.

Most stated they see him as a cornerback.

Glazer cited Hunter’s elite ball skills as the reason for this, as it’s not easy to find a shut-down corner with such skills.

Wide receivers, on the other hand, are somewhat easier to find.

Hunter has been on the field on almost every single snap during his collegiate career, and doing that in the pros won’t be as easy.

The season is longer, the game is more physical, and much more is at stake.

Then again, given how the wide receiver market has blown up over the past couple of years, perhaps he’ll be calling the shots about what position he’ll play in the end.
